Come out to Joe Momma’s on March 23rd and support a great cause!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m not sure why. So much has been going on at the restaurant, it seems I would’ve been itching to blog about it. I guess I’ve been busy. Here’s the catch-up.
We’ve started delivery. That’s good news, in case you’re wondering. It’s increased sales and the marketing we’ve done to promote has been good for business as a whole. We’ve done some radio, a little TV, some fliers, etc. I’m pumped about what this change will mean for the future of our business. I’m anticipating our busiest summer ever.
We’ve started a “lunch punch” program. It’s been on my “to do” list for a long time. I finally got around to creating a “lunch punch” program where our lunch buffet customers get a punch on a card each time they come in and after 8 punches a free lunch is the reward. Amazingly, this punch card has been very good for lunch. I don’t know that it’s bringing in new business, but it is causing our regulars to be more “regular.”
We’ve partnered up with OKgamers.com to put on some video game events at Joe Momma’s. We’ve had our first event, a Guitar Hero 2 Tourney, a few weeks ago. It was huge and a great day at Joe Momma’s. We have another event in a couple of weeks and another Guitar Hero Tourney on the first Sat of April.
Speaking of the first week of April. We’re having our first ever Momma Fest. The first week of April will be filled with events to celebrate all that is Joe Momma’s. We’ll have live music, specials, parties, and even a pizza eating contest between the Tulsa Talons and some of our loyal Union student lunch buffet eaters. It will be a week to remember.
Speaking of the Tulsa Talons, we’ve partnered up with the Talons for the upcoming season. Joe Momma’s is the official pizza provider for the Talons in ‘07. We’re feeding the team after games, and giving them some food perks during the week, like some free lunches etc, in exchage for a huge advertising package with the team. We’re excited about the partnership and the opportunity to join forces with a great arena football team and Tulsa icon.
Coming out of the winter, sales are way up which is great. It’s creating new challenges as far as staffing and product ordering. Keep your fingers crossed for us that we’ll handle our growth well. We’re now staffing three people for every shift, which you probably wouldn’t even notice except that it allows us to provide better service, keep the place cleaner, and keep staff happier. We’re finally doing enough sales to off-set the increase in payroll. Trust me that this is a big deal. It means we’ll serve you better and that we can handle unexpected rushes with grace.
Thanks for your interest in the restaurant. It’s a fun place to be these days. Our staff has really come together and I’ve never been happier with the team. We’ve got a strong group of hard workers with great personalities. They make it great.
Thanks for checking in! Come visit us soon or call us for a delivery!
Peace,
Blake
